Pastor Andy Schreiber
Andy was born and raised in a small town in the farm belt of central Pennsylvania. He
joined the United States Navy right out of High School and spent the next 7 1/2 years in places like Millington (just outside of Memphis, Tennessee), San Diego, and Philadelphia. He also served aboard the Aircraft Carriers, USS Constellation (CV-64) and USS Kitty Hawk (CV-63).
Upon his honorable discharge from the Navy, he attended Christian Heritage College (since re-named San Diego Christian College), earning Bachelor of Arts degrees in Pastoral Studies and Biblical Studies. After college he attended Westminster Seminary California, in Escondido, CA, graduating with a Masters of Divinity (M.Div).
His passion is to preach Christ, and to do so from all of the Scriptures. After God, family, and country, Andy’s other true loves are sports and politics, and he is always up for a lively discussion about all things baseball, hockey, football, and the Constitution!
Andy has been the full-time pastor of RVPCA since May of 2011. Andy and his wife Rebecca were married in Ramona in December, 2005. They have three children – Benjamin, Eliza, and Luke. They make their home in Ramona, CA
Dan Warne, Pastoral Intern
Dan was born in Wichita, Kansas and moved with his family to the mission field in Sinaloa, MX when he was twelve years old. After spending six years growing up in a rural Mexican village, he moved to Santa Clarita, CA to pursue a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Counseling at The Master’s College. While in college he was privileged to be an active part of the international student community and to study for a time overseas, which increased his desire to see men and women from all nations come to worship Jesus Christ.
After graduating from college in 2010, Dan moved back to Kansas to lead music as a pastoral intern at a small-town church plant just south of Lawrence, KS. Besides working at the church plant, Dan was employed as a Spanish-English interpreter and as a machine operator at a local factory. In 2011, he married his wife Mariana, who is from Sonora, MX. Two years later they moved to Escondido, CA for Dan to pursue a Masters of Divinity at Westminster Seminary California. In 2014, Dan served as a pastoral intern at New Life Presbyterian Church in Escondido.
Along with his studies and exploring new places with his wife, Dan enjoys hunting, fishing, and shooting the breeze. On visits home to Mexico he can be found searching for the best taco shop in town or picking guitar with friends. He is passionate about helping others to understand that vigorous biblical study is not just an intellectual exercise, but the source of our greatest comfort, counsel, and joy as Christ is seen on every page.
Dan became the pastoral intern at RVPCA in February of 2015. He and Mariana hope one day to return to the mission field and are excited about what God has in store for His people in Ramona and around the world.
We are under the oversight of the Elders at New Life Presbyterian Church in Escondido.
